Summary of discussions
Minister Jayawardena chaired the sixth meeting of the trade union advisory group (TUAG) on Monday 25 October 2021.
The group received updates and contributed to discussions on:
- trade negotiations with India
- the Agreement in Principle on a UK-New Zealand free trade agreement
The group welcomed the updates and discussed labour standards in trade agreements. The minister affirmed DIT’s commitment to continue to uphold the UK’s high labour standards.
