Chairman’s Report and Roadmap

The Sustainable Growing Media Task Force was established in 2011, under the chairmanship of Dr Alan Knight OBE, to advise on how best to overcome the barriers to reducing peat use in horticulture in England.

This chairman’s report and draft roadmap was submitted to Defra Ministers in July 2012.

The report sets out the Chairman’s thoughts on the work of the Task Force and the challenges ahead as well as presenting a draft roadmap that shows how his proposals can be taken forward into actions.
