HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) commissioned Ipsos to undertake research to explore small traders’ experiences of the current customs authorisations system, impressions of improvements that HMRC is proposing and preferences for how these changes should be communicated.
The research comprised of 30 in-depth interviews with small traders with fewer than 50 employees. The research was conducted between December 2022 and February 2023.
