1. Information: feconnect to be switched off from Thursday 29 July

In September 2020, ESFA communities replaced feconnect as our online discussion forum for further education and training providers to give each other advice.

Now that ESFA communities is well-established, with over 1,000 registered users and around 500 topics/replies per month, we will switch off feconnect on from 29 July 2021.

Content on feconnect will not be visible after that date.

1.1 What do you need to do.

You will need to register on ESFA communities to post topics, replies or subscribe for alerts. If you think that date will cause any issues or want to know more about ESFA communities, please contact customer.experience@education.gov.uk.

2. Information: Submit Learner Data is moving to a new URL

Submit Learner Data is moving to a new website address (https://submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk) from 8th July.

Users trying to access the old website after the move will be redirected to the new website automatically.

The redirect will be in place for a minimum of 3 months to allow users time to update any bookmarks.

If you have questions about this change, please complete an online ESFA contact form

3. Information: DCFT (the hub) decommissioning

As part of the planned service improvements to Submit Learner Data (SLD), we will be switching off DCFT (the Hub) from 1st July.

If you need to keep reports for audit purposes from the 2013 to 2014 funding year onwards, please download and save them to a safe location. The final reports for each academic year will be migrated to SLD and will remain accessible there.

If you have questions about this change, please complete an online ESFA contact form.

4. Information: LARS decommissioning

As we communicated last year, the Learning Aims website (part of the Hub) has been replaced with a new website. The Find a learning aim design has simplified the user experience while still providing all of the key information our users need.

The period of dual running both sites has allowed us to seek further feedback and to implement more changes, to improve the user experience. There is a survey for you to provide feedback on your experience and to suggest improvements on the service.

We will be decommissioning the Learning Aims website (part of the Hub) from the 1st July, users trying to access the old site after this date will be redirected to Find a learning aim.
