Details

The public dialogue on trust in digital identity services was commissioned to gather views on how trust in digital identity services can be built and maintained. A group of 96 participants, broadly reflective of the UK population, were engaged in discussion over 6 online workshops. 

The public dialogue sought views about digital identity standards, governance, and public-facing communications. Dialogue participants were also asked about the potential opportunities and risks of digital identities, as they become more widespread across the UK economy. The report below summarises the dialogue findings and explores policy implications. 

The public dialogue was commissioned by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), in partnership with the UK Research and Innovation programme Sciencewise. The research was conducted by Hopkins Van Mil.
