Published in August 2018, the Civil Society Strategy sets out how government will work with and for #OurCivilSociety in the long-term to create a country that works for everyone. Over the last year, we have brought together people, charities, social enterprises, social investors and businesses to realise this common vision.

The Strategy is not intended as the final word or a fixed statement on the government’s work in relation to civil society. On the contrary, it is the beginning of an ambitious, evolving work programme to help build a strong society.

With that in mind, the Minister for Civil Society recently held a series of regional roundtables. This was an opportunity to meet the sector, reflect on progress and discuss how we continue to take this agenda forward.

Reflections on these roundtables and on the progress of the Strategy are captured in the document above.
