Details

The franchise agreement between the Secretary of State for Transport and Arriva Rail North Limited dated 22 December 2015.

The contract with Arriva Rail North Limited was announced by the Transport Minister on 23 December 2015.

This agreement replaces the previous Northern Rail 2012 franchise agreement.

  1. For consistency with the shared conformed copy franchise agreement, the public register franchise agreement has been updated with two derogations to previously redacted paragraph 75.2 of part 1 to schedule 6.1.

  2. Uploaded new version of the franchise agreement which includes a contract change to Schedule 6.1 paragraph 57 which now states Northern will incur expenditure of £100k in each of the second, third and fourth Franchisee Years rather than the first three years due to the lead times associated with planned disruptions.
