Details

The Myplace programme is a government capital investment programme to provide world-class centres for young people that offer positive activities and access to a range of services. The programme was launched in 2008 to:

  • provide attractive and safe places for young people, parents and communities
  • increase young people’s participation in leisure activities that support their development
  • provide access to information, advice and guidance
  • develop stronger working partnerships to operate sustainable facilities

The Cabinet Office is working with centres to support strong local partnerships, helping centres maximise funding and sponsorship opportunities and promote centres within their local communities.

We will provide £12,000 to fund a business brokering trial programme. The trial aims to match the requirements of 6 Myplace centres with local businesses and organisations.

We invite voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to apply to carry out this trial programme. Funding for the programme will be awarded as a grant. We intend to fund a single organisation that can run the trial across a number of different geographical regions.

Interested organisations should apply by 10am on 7 November 2014.
