Ms Susan-Ann Lee has applied to the Environment Agency to vary an existing licence and for a new licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The first application (reference number NPS/WR/024504) is to vary licence serial number SW/053/0001/020 to obstruct or impede the flow of the River Avon at Avoncliff between National Grid References ST 80555 60045 and ST 80558 60080.

The variation applied for is to extend the period by which hydropower generation must commence to 31st December 2019. No other changes are proposed.

The second application (reference number NPS/WR/024505) is for a licence to abstract water from the River Avon at Avoncliff at National Grid Reference ST 80556 60043 to transfer it to the mill channel at Weavers Mill without intervening use. All of the water abstracted is returned to the River Avon.
