This strategy describes how Monitor will make the health sector work better for patients and has 4 cross-cutting themes:
- encourage people and organisations to develop skills and capabilities
- support radical change in the NHS while also managing the risks of failure
- ensure the healthcare system’s rules operate in the best interests of patients
- work closely with partners, nationally and locally
