This inshore Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ) was announced on 31 May 2019.

The Solway Firth MCZ is an inshore site that covers an area of approximately 45 km². It is located in the Solway Firth, Cumbria, a large estuary in the far north-eastern Irish Sea.
