Details
The Home Office Homicide Index contains detailed record-level information about each homicide recorded by police in England and Wales. The Office for National Statistics publish headline statistics of these data on an annual basis. This note breaks homicides into further categories by victim, with the aim to help target policy interventions.
The data is being published to support the Winter Homicide Prevention Initiative, which targets the largest homicide sub-type.
