The Environment Agency worked together with lead local flood authorities (LLFAs) and other risk management authorities (RMAs) to produce separate FRMPs for the English Dee and English Severn catchments. Natural Resources Wales (NRW) are working to produce an updated FRMP that covers flood risk from rivers and the sea for all of Wales.
Progress on the updated Welsh FRMP has been delayed as a result of the February 2020 flooding that was followed by Covid-19. It’s anticipated that the updated Welsh FRMP will be shared for consultation in Winter 2022-23.
LLFAs in Wales are undertaking separate work to develop their FRMPs, these will be developed in 2023. Information on Welsh FRMPs are on the NRW website.
