This guidance sets out recommended arrangements for NHS Trusts to get external assurance that their Quality Accounts for 2014 to 2015 are reliable and accurate.

Quality accounts are:

  • reports about the quality of services by NHS healthcare providers
  • published annually by all NHS healthcare providers, including the independent sector
  • available to the public
