1. Reminder: the deadline to submit a business case for your 16 to 19 funding allocation is Tuesday 30 April 2019

If you need to submit a business case for your 16 to 19 funding allocation, please do this by Tuesday 30 April 2019.

We will not consider any cases received after the deadline or with incomplete information as part of main business case process. This means that we will not reflect any changes in your initial payments at the start of academic year 2019 to 2020.

If your case is successful, we will treat the change to your 16 to 19 allocation as an in-year adjustment and changes will take place from September 2019.

You should only submit a business case where you believe there is a significant error in the data you have returned.

You can find further details about business case thresholds and how to submit a case in our explanatory note.

2. Information: 2018 to 2019 procured non-levy apprenticeships over-delivery

Further to the over-delivery Update article on 20 February 2019, we have reviewed providers’ delivery as at the R08 data collection. We will issue variations for over-delivery to date by the end of April 2019.

We will revisit 2018 to 2019 financial year over-delivery again in August 2019 and November 2019.

As a reminder, we will not fund over-delivery from 1 April 2019.

3. Information: new View Your Education Data portal launched

We have launched the View Your Education Data portal. This portal replaces the Birst (My BI) service that was previously accessed through the ‘BI Tools’ tab on the Hub.

This beta version of the portal currently contains the qualification achievement rates (QARs) 2017 to 2018 dashboard.

To access the portal, you will need your IDAMs login details. You will only have access to the portal’s reports if you have been given access by your super-user.

We are committed to offering effective reporting tools and enhancing user experience. As part of this, we are commissioning user research to understand your preferred ways to access the datasets we provide.

In the meantime, any comments can be fed through to the ESFA service desk.

4. Your feedback: our qualification achievement rates (QAR) 2017 to 2018 survey closes on Friday 3 May 2019

We are currently gathering feedback to help us continue to improve our QAR processes and how we support you. Please let us know about your experience of the QAR 2017 to 2018 process by completing our provider feedback survey.

The survey will close on Friday 3 May 2019.
