Equine germinal products: model health certificates

Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export equine semen and equine embryos to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Details

From 1 January 2021, equine semen and equine embryos exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificate GBHC810

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for imports of consignments of semen of equidae collected in accordance with Directive 92/65/EEC after 30 September 2014 and dispatched from an approved semen collection centre of origin of the semen (Model 1 Section A Regulation 2018/659) (SEM-EQU-M1).

Certificate GBHC811

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for imports of consignments of stocks of semen of equidae collected, processed and stored in accordance with Directive 92/65/EEC after 31 August 2010 and before 1 October 2014 and dispatched after 31 August 2010 from an approved semen collection centre of origin of the semen (Model 2 Section B Regulation 2018/659) (SEM-EQU-M2).

Certificate GBHC812

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for imports of consignments of stocks of semen of equidae collected, processed and stored in accordance with Directive 92/65/EEC before 1 September 2010 and dispatched after 31 August 2010 from an approved semen collection centre of origin of the semen (Model 3 Section C Regulation 2018/659) (SEM-EQU-M3).

Certificate GBHC813

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for imports of consignments of semen of equidae collected, processed and stored in accordance with Directive 92/65/EEC after 30 September 2014 and of consignments of stocks of semen of animals of the equine species collected, processed and stored in accordance with Directive 92/65/EEC after 31 August 2010 and before 1 October 2014 or before 1 September 2010 and dispatched after 31 August 2010 from an approved semen storage centre (Model 4 Section D Regulation 2018/659) (SEM-EQU-M4).

Certificate GBHC814

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for imports of consignments of ova and embryos of equidae collected or produced in accordance with Directive 92/65/EEC after 30 September 2014 and dispatched by an approved embryo collection or production team of origin of the ova or embryos (Model 1 Section A Regulation 2018/659) (OE-EQU-M1).

Certificate GBHC815

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for imports of consignments of stocks of ova and embryos of equidae collected, processed and stored in accordance with Directive 92/65/EEC after 31 August 2010 and before 1 October 2014 and dispatched after 31 August 2010 by an approved embryo collection or production team of origin of the ova or embryo (Model 2 Section B Regulation 2018/659) (OE-EQU-M2).
