Details

On 15 November 2012 we wrote to David Gauke, the Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury, proposing a further simplification review on employee benefits and expenses to start after Budget 2013.

In his Autumn Statement on 5 December the Chancellor announced that the government had asked us to undertake the review, starting after Budget 2013.

On 10 December the Exchequer Secretary, David Gauke MP, formally replied to us and agreed the terms of reference for the review.
