The purpose of this circular is to draw attention to The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 (Electronic Communication) Order 2016 (S.I. 2016/335), which comes into force on 6 April 2016.

This circular does not give advice on the technical requirements in the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 as these are matters covered by the guidance in The Party Wall etc. Act 1996: explanatory booklet

The changes made by the Order apply to England and Wales.
