The assessment reviewed private and fleet motorists to:

  • ascertain the current levels of efficient driving and potential for increase
  • understand the motivations and barriers to effect driving
  • make measures to increase efficient driving (technology, communications and training)
  • understand the connections between efficient driving and other policy areas
