Documents

Details

This toolkit helps local planning authorities use digital tools to support planning consultations and community engagement.

It covers ways to:

  • plan, deliver and review digital engagement
  • procure tools or suppliers
  • design and run consultations
  • analyse and share results

It is for planning officers, project managers, digital and communications teams, and other council staff involved in engagement.

It focuses on using digital approaches alongside traditional methods. It does not replace statutory guidance or recommend specific tools or suppliers.

Includes examples from local planning authorities that tested digital engagement through the PropTech Innovation Fund.
