Details

The CfD Sustainable Industry Reward (SIR) process will be run as a competitive allocation for extra revenue support 6 months before the main CfD auction.

Applicants for all fixed bottom or floating offshore wind generating stations are required to show that their SIR application has met the minimum standards. This guidance sets out how delivery of SIR commitments (including meeting the minimum standards) will be monitored and assessed.

This is a draft document. It’s subject to change and will continue to be revised ahead of the launch of the SIR scheme. New versions will be added to GOV.UK on a rolling basis. Industry will be notified via Renewables UK and Scottish Renewables, and via the CfD stakeholder bulletin.
