Details

CERSANs are published by the MCA to assist the CERS user community with using CERS and the CERS workbook to meet their reporting obligations.

CERS is used by masters, shipping agents and port authorities to provide mandatory reportable information when a vessel arrives at a port in the UK. A CERSAN will usually be published when operational advice needs to be passed to the user community quickly or if technical guidance on an aspect of using CERS is required.
