Details

This application form is to be used from 1 October 2013 by landowners who wish to make any of the following in relation to their land:

  • a ‘landowner statement’ under Section 15A(1) of the Commons Act 2006 for town and village green purposes;
  • a statement and/or declaration under section 31(6) of the Highways Act 1980 for presumed dedication of highways purposes.

The completed application should be submitted to the top-tier local authority for the area in which the land is situated (e.g. county council, metropolitan borough, London borough).

The form contains guidance notes for completion of the form.

The guidance does not provide comprehensive advice on the law for highways or town and village greens.
