Funding allocations for local transport authorities to provide bus service improvements throughout England, excluding London.

The funding comprises:

  • more than £1 billion to deliver local long-term vision for bus services as set out in bus service improvement plans (BSIPs) in 2022 to 2025 – the first phase of BSIP funding
  • £160 million to improve fares and services, of which £80 million in BSIP+ funding is available in 2023 to 2024 and the remaining £80 million in 2024/25 – the second phase of BSIP funding
  • a further £150 million for 2024 to 2025 to deliver long-term bus service improvements, the first instalment of a total of £1 billion as part of Network North – the third phase of BSIP funding
