The Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) is now closed to new principal applications

You will not be affected by the closure if:

  • you had submitted an ARAP application to the Ministry of Defence before 3pm UK time on 1 July 2025 but have not yet received a decision
  • you have received an ARAP eligibility decision letter

The Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) is now closed

You will not be affected by the closure if:

  • you have submitted a referral under the ACRS Separated Families Pathway but have not yet received a decision
  • you have received an ACRS eligibility decision offering you resettlement to the UK but have not yet travelled
