Jackie Green

Biography

Jackie Green is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD). This professional background in Human Resource Management has underpinned a career at executive level in major organisations across health, housing, and central government. Most recently, Jackie ran a successful consultancy bringing a value-driven, solution-focused approach to issue resolution for clients across public and private sectors.

Following on from her role as Assistant Chief Executive at The Housing Corporation, Jackie spent 12 years as Director of Human Resources in the NHS, operating at board level in two of the country’s largest acute teaching hospitals.

Throughout her career, Jackie has successfully led major organisational and cultural change, championing collaborative working, introducing innovative approaches, and achieving sustainable improvements in environments typically characterised by scale, complexity, and significant risk.

Based on this extensive cross-sector experience, Jackie believes that people are an organisation’s most important asset and that to achieve sustainable improvement, leaders must live the vision and values, invest in, and truly engage their people.

DBS Associate Board Member

Board members are senior figures from outside DBS who bring a mix of expertise and skills from across the public and private sector. They all:

  • oversee performance
  • set the strategic direction for the DBS
  • support and challenge management on implementing the DBS strategic direction
  • make sure that statutory duties are carried out

DBS board members are appointed following open and fair competition and in line with the Governance Code on Public Appointments. The appointments are for an initial period of 3 years, with the possibility of re-appointment.
