Chris Pleass
Biography
Chris Pleass joined the Insolvency Service on 13 January 2014. His previous role was Finance Director for Personal Tax at HM Revenue and Customs. He managed a business unit’s transformation from a postal, telephones and manual processing operation, to a modern digital interface for customers.
Prior to HMRC, Chris held finance director roles in both the public and private sector. His experience spans the Department for Food, Environment and Rural Affairs, the water industry, and professional services sector.
Director of Finance, Commercial, Sustainability and Property
The Director of Finance, Commercial, Sustainability and Property is responsible for the agency’s financial management and reporting, including procurement and financial risk management. They also manage the agency’s estate and provide support to the board on financial management.
