The Lake District National Park Authority (LDNP) conserves and enhances the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the Lake District and promotes opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the area by the public.

LDNP works with the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs.
