Linda Rosborough reappointed to Sea Fish Board

Defra Ministers have reappointed Linda Rosborough for a second term on the Sea Fish Industry Authority Board.

Linda Rosborough has been reappointed for a second term as a non-executive board member of the Sea Fish Industry Authority (Seafish). This follows her initial appointment in 2018. Linda’s second term will run from 28 February 2022 to 27 February 2025.

Seafish is a non-departmental public body which carries out a wide range of activities to support a thriving seafood industry, working with the fishing industry and processors through to importers, retailers and food service providers.

This is a ministerial appointment agreed by the four fisheries administrations, who jointly sponsor Seafish. The re-appointment was carried out in accordance with the Ministerial Code of Governance for Public Appointments. There is a requirement for the political activities of appointees to be made public, and Linda Rosborough has not declared any significant political activity.

Biography

  • Linda was Director of Marine Scotland from 2011 to 2016. Previously she led the Marine Planning and Policy, Transformational Technologies, CAP Management, and Social Inclusion Divisions of the Scottish Government and worked for the Northern Ireland Office for several years.
  • Linda has been a civil servant since 1991, following a career as an academic in planning and environmental studies.
  • She is currently Chair of the Scottish Wildlife Trust.
