Detail of outcome

This is the full government response to the two joint consultations on the design of the new funding models for the housing costs for supported accommodation. One consultation related to sheltered and extra care housing, and the other related to short-term supported accommodation.

An interim response was published to both consultations on 3 April 2018.

Consultation description

As part of the policy statement published on 31 October 2017, we have launched two consultations, one on housing costs for sheltered and extra care accommodation, and one on housing costs for short-term supported accommodation.

Both of these consultations seek the views on the design of the government’s new supported housing funding models which relate to England only, though we would nevertheless welcome comments from respondees across Great Britain. We are seeking views on the funding models from the sector, providers, commissioners and residents alike.
