Framework agreements between the Department of Health and Social Care and its arm’s length bodies

Framework agreements describe the working relationship between the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and its arm’s length bodies (ALBs).

Framework agreements set out arrangements for departments to monitor and understand their arm’s length bodies’ (ALBs’) strategy, performance and delivery, and are a core constitutional document of the ALB.

They are an agreement between departments and their ALBs, and govern the collaborative relationship between the ALB, the sponsor department and the rest of government.
